9 Month Birthday

Ok so Baby Fry is now 9 months old and she had a lot of first this last month. First we start with Christmas. We work up around 9AM and went into Baby Frys room to see her awake and looking around but not making any noise. Strange since usually she wakes up and starts crying. She must have known that Mommy and Daddy were really looking forward to sleeping in on Christmas Morning. What a nice baby.... Wonder how long this will last. So we allowed her to open a couple of gifts first thing in the morning. She got a butterfly toy that has a rattle type body and wings that have small bugs on them that Baby Fry can move up and down, She got a ring stacking toy, and she got a small box that has shapes cut out of the top so she can learn to put the correct shaped block in the correct hole. After this we got ready and went to my aunts house for breakfast. It was really good. Baby Fry had some Apple Juice and I think she might have even been given some cinnamon roll as well. ( I blame Daddy ) After breakfast it was time to open presents. She got a really cute dress for my aunt, and a yellow dora the explorer ball from Daddy and me which I think she played with the rest of the time we were there. After that we ran back home to get the rest of the gifts and headed to my parents house where we opened more presents. Baby Fry got some cute pjs and a giggle little purple dino/dog thing... Im not sure what it actually is. We then went over to Christopher's parents house and had a yummy dinner where I think that Baby Fry might have had more food than I care to know about. I know that she loves Yams and Mashed Potato's, but I think that she got a lot more than that. We then opened gifts with his family, and she came out with more things that Christopher and I put together. Awesome clothes, toys, a book, a play cell phone, a baby scrap book, and more clothes. I think she had more fun with the paper than she did with the gifts. Watching her rip the paper off the presents was so much fun. I wish I wouldn't have been so caught up in watching her though. I totally forgot that we had the cameras with us so I didn't get any pictures of the day other than the ones I took at home. When we got home that night I let Baby Fry open the rest of her gifts from Mom and Dad. She got a bunch of books, a sippy cup, and a bunch of bows, flowers and headbands. It was such an awesome day.

The next big day was when she started crawling. It was just one random day after I had gotten home from work just shortly after Christmas and I placed her on the floor thinking that I could go take my coat off and set my purse down, and before I could turn around to walk away I saw her crawling out of the corner of my eye, and I was in shock. I couldn't believe that she just did it. No really warning just hey check it out I am more mobile. I spent the next few hours video taping her crawling and trying to send it to Christopher on his cell phone so that he could see what Baby Fry had been up to, sadly the video on the cell didn't work but he did get to see her crawl when he got home from work. It was a momentus occasion to say the least.

Next it was Baby Frys first New Years Eve and New Years day. I got her a cute little black onsie that says Happy New Years as you can see in the picture. She looked so cute in it. I didn't think that she was going to stay up long enough to see the whole new years events but I figured we could do some stuff earlier with her. We watched some movies and had some snack foods. Well mostly Christopher and I had snack foods. Baby Fry just had baby food. As I though Baby Fry fell asleep around 10:30PM and so I put her in her crib, however that didnt last to long by 11:30PM she was awake and you would have though that we fed her pure sugar she was wired. She stayed up long enough to see the ball drop and for all of us to shout Happy New Year, not that she really knew what was going on and by 12:30AM she was asleep again. It was kind of odd that she woke up and was so wired and then went right back to sleep, but hey I will take it. New Years day was good. Neither Christopher or I had to work so we all just spent the day together and had a good start to the new year.

Lastly Baby Fry had her first experience with SNOW. We took her up to our friends cabin and she got to take her first snow mobile ride. (Well her and I rode in a trailer behind the snow mobile) At first she really liked the snow mobile ride she was laughing and giggling and having a good time, but there for some reason she just started crying and didn't stop until we got to the cabin. She got to wear her cute little Elmo snow suite that she got from her Cousin Lance. Even though he doesn't know that she wore it. (Unless he looks at the picture) She got to take her first ride down a hill on a sled. I couldn't really tell if she liked it or if she was just like ah ya OK. She didn't really smile or giggle she just kinda sat there with this look like ya what do I do with this?? We spent some time watching movies and playing games at our friends cabin and then we spent some time playing in the snow. I think Baby Fry liked the snow. She would touch it with her fingers and squeeze it in her hands, but when she decided that she wanted to crawl around in it and then face planted in the snow I think she was done with the snow. Christopher wiped her off and I was hoping that she would play in it again so I could take some more pictures but she wasn't having any of it after that.

Wow that was a lot of firsts. Baby Fry did have her 9 Month check up and it looks like she is now 29 inches and 18lbs 7oz. She is now 90% for height and 50% for weight. She is actually now normal for weight at 6 Months she was only 25% for weight. Guess that baby food is doing her some good. The appointment went well she only had to get one shot this time. I am hoping we are getting to and end of shots every time we go to the doctors. He wants us to go see a genetics specialist about Baby Frys ears. They are sort of stuck back further to her head and kind of squished. The doctor said it is called Dyplastic or something like that, but they have come out quite a bit since she was born, and in the hospital they checked her hearing and she passed with flying colors so there is no problem there but they want to have them looked out just to make sure that there is nothing else connected to it. I may have already talked about this, but I never really made the appointment since nothing else seemed to be wrong with her. Now the doctor says that we need to make sure there inst something that we can not see. I called the genetics people and they are so backed up that they said they would call me some time in late spring or early summer to set up an appointment for late summer or early fall. The doctor said it wasn't anything that we needed to get her in sooner for we just need to get her in. Ill let you know more about this when I know more about it, but for now the doctor states she is a good, tall, happy little girl.
